To end its 2005 season, The Little Company – a division of the Singapore Repertory Theatre presents The Snow Queen. This musical, based on the well-loved tale by Hans Christian Andersen, will be the first children’s musical to be staged at the Esplanade Theatre. With the help of the Crow family, she escapes an enchantress, visits the royal court and travels to the far North. There, in a final confrontation with the Snow Queen and her ice creatures, good conquers evil and the children are reunited. This enchanting musical, for everyone aged 5 years and above, will feature stunning sets and wonderful musical numbers, providing the entire family with a not-to-be-missed musical experience. The Little CompanyThe Little Company is a professional theatre company that produces quality plays for children. We aim to enthrall children from ages 2-12, with theatre that is written, designed and performed specifically for them by professional adult actors. We strongly believe that theatre can help children develop socially, mentally and emotionally. The Little Company was founded in 2001 by The Singapore Repertory Theatre, based on the belief that children deserve the same quality of theatre as adults. Past productions include Baby Love, Prospero’s Children, Christmas and the Gargoyle Who Wouldn’t Say Thank You, When I Grow Up, It’s a Hot Christmas, Grandma’s Journey, Little Victories, Rumpelstiltskin and Little Wings.
