Christmas 2010

We didn't have any Christmas party this year. Mummy said she's too tired to organise one, citing that she needs a break after I had a birthday celebration. Yah yah! "One month interval..." every year I hear the same thing.
Even Tampines mama didn't have any party. So boring!

13th - days before we received a letter from Santa. We baked our cookies, leaving the decorating to a much later date.

24th - The day before Christmas, mei mei and myself were excited. We talked about Santa Claus, we talked about what Santa is going to bring us.
When night falls, through the house we were jumping. Lizards (if there were any) were frightened by our boisterous laughter. Our stockings were hung by our bedside. (Alas! no chimney - stay in HDB flat. No fireplace - we must be crazy if we ever have one in our always sunny and superbly hot Singapore.) Our cookies were placed in a special box mummy bought for each of us.

Not forgetting that we had to write a note to Santa.

Twaswas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
The stockings were hung by the chimney with careNot a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Awayway to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!

Ass dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
Up to the house-top the coursers they flew So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

Hee was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

TheA wink of his eye and a twist of his headhe stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

Hee spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

We made some cookies for Santa Claus. Oh no! I forgot carrots and apples

On Christmas morning, I woke up to see a letter and a stocking filled with goodies from Santa.

Here, mei-mei and I are reading our letters from Santa

We opened our presents too!

Later on, Aunty Zet went to church. We were invited to B's house for a party in the evening. I made some new friends there. I like B's house, she is so lucky to have a playroom of her own. She has alot of toys!! There's a new toy - Zuzu Hamster toy, which I really like and hope mummy will buy one for me.

Holiday

We went for a holiday with daddy's family to China. I had no idea where I went but I enjoyed the company thoroughly. I never knew my 3 kor-kors are so fun to be with until now.

During this trip too, I like to stay with 小姑姑. She has so many games in her iPhone too! She let me play with her phone daily; she helps take care of me during our meal time so mummy and daddy can take care of that "fussy little sister of mine"

You know what is the most memorable part of the trip? When we had to take a speedboat, mei-mei and me liked it each time the boat bounce back on the seawater. We were making alot of noise in glee. Mummy and daddy were afraid that mei-mei will fly off from the boat; 大姑姑 was so afraid.

Here are the snapshots of our trip.
