I'm a VIP

Yesterday mummy and daddy brought me out to Suntec. We stopped by Fish n Co for our lunch and I felt like a VIP. The aunties were playing with me and one of them brought me to take some mints from her.
She gave me alot of sweets, later another auntie gave me a cute fish pouch. I am so happy.
Mummy says "like SQ, they go all the way out to entertain kids. Well.. it is owned by 2 ex-SQ people that's what to expect."

Clap hands. Yey for Fish n Co.

A note for my daughter : From Mummy

Athena darling,

Mummy's writing you this note just incase mummy never get a chance to tell you this.

Mummy's love for you is countless from the moment I found out you were a speck small till now and forever. Mummy's always thinking of you, even when mummy is busy or out shopping I can't help but think of buying things to make you happy. I like the look on your face when I give you an inflated balloon; the smile you have when you see cookies. And how you'd offer to share your cookies with me.

Mummy may be pushing you to do alot of things from studying to your upbringing. I am trying to nurture you into Ms Eliza Doolittle. Which is why mummy can be a nag at times.

Sometimes you'll be a sensible girl but sometimes you'll taunt mummy, making mummy very cross with you. When you do, I scold you or spank you. You may think that I enjoy doing that but it really breaks my heart to spank my own flesh and blood; to see red marks on your legs or hands. But if I don't do this, there is no way I can discipline you and teach you the right things from wrong. It's for your own good.............

Mummy's wish is that you'll grow to be a successful woman with good character, with good relations with people all around you, be filial and most importantly to be a good mummy too.

I love you very much Athena, my sweetheart.

Me as a little baby

Mummy finally finished Part 2 of my video montage. But then...........it's only up to Oct 2003. She still has loads to do to update till 2005. I hope she finishes it all to present it to me on my wedding day (which mummy told me she'll give those VCDs to me)
Poor mummy.. she still hasn't dub the video tapes yet. She told me that she's not going to waste time by editing, just play and dub and she can do her things. Talk about multi-tasking.

Christmas Day


I woke up at 8plus in the morning and saw a bag by my bed. I opened up and saw sweets inside. Mummy said it's from Santa Claus. I opened my present from mummy and I know what it is. No more guessing that's all!
I was so happy and brought the bag out to show my loot of sweets to ma-ma, dua-gu and dua-kim and proudly announced to them that Santa Claus gave it to me.
After lunch we walked around a little and head back to ma-ma's house to open my presents. I've got this Buttercup bolster from dua-kim. I was very smart and said it's a bolster but they said it's a sweet. Godma also gave me a present and it's a small cute bag. I forgot all about my other bag and put my tissue in the bag that Godma gave.
I'm so happy...................

Modern Santarina



We went for a Christmas lunch with ma-ma, dua gu and dua-kim yesterday after their Mass. We met at Swensens and I picked this red top and dress instead of the nice partywear mummy wants me to wear. Anyway, mummy seeing it decided to put a black belt (not exactly black) around my waist to make me look like a modern Santarina.
Then I carried this Santa bag around. I was drawing alot of attention from all the che-ches, kor-kors, aunties and uncles. Then I remembered Santa always drag his bag (does he?) and decided to drag the bag on the floor. Only to hear mummy screaming " Don't drag the bag on the floor, it's dirty!"

Mummy's pinning her hopes on me

I think I've got a mummy who's expecting me to help her realise what she could not achieve. She wants me to be a child actor to build up my confidence; she wants me to be a child model because she never got a chance to be one (too ugly to be one); she would like me to star in any musicals when they need children. (She was too old to be Cosette in Les MIserables). And you know what's the weirdest hope she has on me??
She wants me to be a Miss Singapore and hopefully to be the first to win back the Miss Universe crown. Too high hopes?? You better tell my mummy or slap her to wake her up.

Sakae Sushi

We went to Sakae Sushi for our dinner. I had my chawanmushi but I know that I've eaten lesser than usual (mummy took alot of mouthfuls as I was having a phlegmy cough) so I asked mummy for another one. But she told me that there's no more inside the kitchen.
I like to eat the fishcakes, so daddy gave me his. I asked him very loudly " Daddy you don't like to eat egg egg?" He said he liked it but gave it to me, then he asked if I can give it to him, I told him "No".
Then I spotted my salmon skin inari on the belt, I kept shouting at mummy to take for me. Then I screamed "mummy, quick take. Later no more already." Then the plate went inside the kitchen. Next minute I saw another one infront of me. But I thought I just saw it going in?? I asked mummy to take for me.
Uncle Sie Hee asked me which one I can give it to him. I gave him the one with only the rice inside, even before he could use the chopsticks to take the sushi I used my hand to give it to him. I don't understand why mummy and daddy screamed together that I cannot use my hand, afterall sometimes I do eat with my hands.
After I finish all the crispy salmon skin, I gave my sushi to uncle Sie Hee. I wonder why did mummy; daddy and uncle laughed at me .

My room

Uncle Sie Hee came by our house yesterday to show daddy and mummy the design of my room. They asked if I liked the design and I said yes but it's going to cost them $2K+ to do my room excluding wiring.
I can't wait to sleep in my room.. at least in my room I can play and play without mummy's knowledge.
I think mummy is going to ask uncle to finish the work by CNY.
I'm so excited!!!

17th Dec - Year end Concert cum Graduation

This morning I had to be in school byt 7.30am but as usual I was taking my own sweet time and was fussing about food. By the time grandma brought me in it was already 8am. The buses came at 8.30 and we left for the church.
Yay! I like to sit on buses. Never mind that I did not even eat my breakfast this morning.
I danced to the song 'Great and Mighty' with my friends Braxton; Wei Zhe; Wei Teng;Javier;Joseph and Jia Hwee.
And we did a song at the end of the concert again.
I really enjoyed myself. And I just couldn't stop moving about.

Let me introduce....



Allow me to introduce this is my favourite bear bear. I had this when I was 2 months old, it was given to me by Aunty Velda(UK).
It doesn't look as white and fluffy as before, that's because mummy washes my bear every fortnight when I was younger and now every month. Mummy says at the rate she's washing the bear, it'll be fur-less when I'm older. But I don't think I will throw it away, it's my favourite and I like to rub its nose.
The second picture is a black cat (or I also call it ah-pu ne ne cat) which dua gu gave me recently. It's one of the new toys given to me and I like this because it makes a meow-ing sound when I press a button. Better still, I fiddle with the whiskers.

She did a better job with my hair today




"Don't move Athena, don't move." " I said don't move.."
But then mummy did a good job today despite me turning my head left and right; up and down.
I thought it was fun and nice, so I clipped the purple clip myself. Nice??

Talking to dua gu on the phone

I like to talk on the phone.

Ticklish

Mummy always like to tickle me to make me laugh loud. Sometimes I'll plead with her to stop and she will ask " what did you say?" and then make me say louder. When I tell her "mummy please stop tickle me", She always pretended not to hear the first part and will say "Oh, you want mummy to tickle you?".
This was recorded on the handphone so bear with it.

Full Dress Rehersal

It's my full dress rehersal today. Ma-ma brought me in to school very early at 8.15am because Ms Leaw needs to put on make up for me and tie my hair. Then at 10am it's off to Bedok Lutheran Church for my rehersal.
My Year-End Concert will be this Saturday. Mummy has been asking me to give her sneak previews but I want to surprise her - as I did in last year's concert.
Mummy has put in the video of last year's concert to show you (secretly filmed), but it is quite blurry as it was converted into MPEg file and my actual video has been duplicated into DVD format.

My SIA Sarong Kebaya



Daddy bought me a Sarong Kebaya onboard the day before, mummy gasped when she heard daddy got me an L size which she said is very very big. True enough, when mummy opened the pack, it's big and suitable for 7 or 9 yrs-old. Checked on receipt but no exchanges/refunds allowed for items bought with vouchers.
Mummy said " die lah... want to let you wear and we take picture together. Now by the time I wait for you to grow older, I may not even fit my old uniform." But anyway, I actually have a few dresses with the batik lah... So mummy don't be sad.

My Dora


Mummy bought me this Dora balloon (on my left) yesterday and I'm carrying the doll which mummy bought in US. When she got back she was fuming mad that they carried it here though launched slightly later and she only saved $2.

My 1st movie with godma alone


Godma brought me to watch Chicken Little today, and I didn't want mummy to come along.
Godma told mummy that I was well-behaved and at times I was a little distracted. Mummy packed a bag for godma to bring in, it contained my water bottle; 2 packs of Arnotts Teddy biscuits; 2 seaweeds; a cardigan;2 tissues and 1 pack wet tissues . But I only ate my seaweed, the rests of the show godma provided me with sweets and more sweets.
I wanna go out with godma more often next time.
Then I was really happy when we bumped into dua-gu; dua-kim and mama at TM. So we all ended up in Gelare. Yippee! Ice cream again.(We just had ice-cream on Friday)
Godma finally left and mummy brought me to Toys R Us before we left for home. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car. I don't know when mummy brought me up the house, but until this time of posting I'm still asleep.

Dua-gu and dua-kim had to attend a wedding dinner today. Dua-gu told me " it's 7 now, you count to 10 oçlock and I will be back."
When they both walked towards the lift, I sat infront of the main gate and counted : "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10"but dua-gu and dua-kim didn't come back.

Class photo

My friends in N1-Faith

Today each of my classmate received a class photo from Miss Leaw - except me. When mummy came to pick me up from school, I wore my shoes; said something to Ms Leaw; then instead of running out of school I ran back in towards Ms Leaw. I told Miss Leaw I want the class photo, but Miss Leaw and mummy said I'm not inside the photo. I insisted and Miss Leaw gave me hers. Mummy took the photo and decided to scan in, and return the original photo to Miss Leaw the next day.
Miss Leaw promised me that we will be taking nice nice photos next week for our rehersals.

Dua gu birthday celebration








We celebrated dua gu's birthday at Lemongrass- Heeren. I can recognise the place when we were walking towards the entrance near to Old Chang Kee, I told dua gu and mama that mummy bring me here go gai gai;eat chawanmushi. While we were walking towards Lemongrass, I remember that Sakae is right behind, so no matter how mummy tried to turn me away I still can point it out to her. I want to tell mummy it's okay, its dua'-gu's birthday today I shall let him eat what he wants but Friday I will want to eat my Japanese food.
I ate a whole basket of keropok and asked the aunty for another one. I didn't eat much during dinner as I am really tired.
When it came to singing the birthday song, dua gu disturbed me say that we should sing to Athena but I told dua gu "it's not my birthday."The banana cake is from Awfully Chocolate. Oishii !
We went out to take some pictures. I wanted dua-kim and dua-gu to sing "The More We Get Together."but they laughed at me. We left for home quite soon after that as I was very tired. Good night.
